Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released official notification for Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for selection of personnel in Specialist Officers' cadre posts. Online examination for the selection will be held in December 2017/ January 2018. IBPS SO recruitment will be held for selecting candidates to the posts of I.T. Officer (Scale-I), Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I), Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I), Law Officer (Scale I), HR/ Personnel Officer (Scale I) and Marketing Officer (Scale I). The CRP involves common written examination (preliminary and main), common interview and provisional allotment
IBPS Specialist Officer Common Written exam is an objective type paper which includes 4 sections of different marks. All participants required to qualify in all sections and for every wrong answer, you must lose some marks as negative marking and time duration of paper is 02 hours. There are few major changes noticed in the IBPS SO Exam Pattern post release of Official IBPS SO Notification. Let's have a look at all the changes one by one.
- The IBPS SO 2017 exam pattern for selecting candidates for Rajsabha Adhikari Scale I and Law Officer is same.
- The Exam Pattern for all the other posts is different from the exam pattern of Law Officer and Rajsabha Adhikari Officer.
- The Mains Examination will have just one section, i.e. of Professional Knowledge
- Only three sections will be asked in the Preliminary Exam of IBPS SO 2017 Exam. For Rajsabha Adhikari and Law Officer sections asked are English Language, Reasoning and General Awareness and for other posts sections asked are of English Language, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.
- The score of Preliminary Exam will not be taken into consideration for the final selection. Cumulative score of Mains Exam and Interview process in the ratio of 80:20 will be taken into consideration for final allotment.

A New Challenge : 2 Hours of Preliminary Exam
If you are a banking aspirant you must well familiar with the usual exam pattern of Prelims Exam i.e. 100 questions for 60 minutes. But in IBPS SO recruitment there a 2 Hour Preliminary Exam. Although the prelims will have 3 sections only and is qualifying in nature, but the increase in the length of the test is suggestive of a possible increase in difficulty level as well. You must practice according and make a proper strategy for both prelims and mains.
IBPS CWE Specialist Officer exam pattern includes 4 subjects for every post exam. Candidates who applied for the exam must have checked full details. Negative marking also applied for each wrong answer check details below.
