New Changes in SSC CGL Notification 2017
Reduce the time limit for
examination of SSC CGL Tier -I from 75 minutes
to 60 minutes. Earlier the Age limit of SSC CGL
Exam was 18- 27 years. From SSC CGL 2017 the upper age limit has been
changed and it is increased to 30 years.

SSC CGL Notification 2017: Eligibility Criteria
As per official notification of
SSC CGL, in order to be eligible for the exam, a candidate should possess
following –
- Minimum age of the Candidate should be 18 years and Maximum age is 30 years as on 01.08.2017
- Minimum Educational Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government on or before 01.08.2017
- Degree obtained through open Distance Education or Open University mode like IGNOU, needs to be recognized by Distance Education Council Accordingly.
- Candidates who will not acquire the educational qualification as on 01-08-2017 will not be eligible and need not apply.
SSC CGL 2017: Educational Qualification
(i) Assistant Audit Officer:
Essential
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or
Institute
Desirable Qualifications for the
Post of Assistant Audit Officer (AAO): Chartered Accountant or cost &
Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in
Business Economics.
(ii) Statistical Investigator Grade - II:
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject
from a recognized University or Institute and at least 60% in Mathematics at
12th standard.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject
with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
(iii) Compiler:
Bachelor’s Degree from any
recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory
or Elective subject.
(iv) All other Posts:
Any Bachelor's Degree from any
recognized University.

SSC CGL 2017 Exam Details
- Exam will be conducted in 4 Tiers.
- Candidates who qualify in Tier 1 will be eligible to appear in Tier 2.
- Candidates who qualify in Tier 2 will be eligible to appear in both Tier 3 and Tier 4.
- Final merit of SSC CGL will be based on cumulative marks of Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3.
- Tier 4 is of qualifying nature and mandatory for CSS/MEA/ Tax Assistant posts.
SSC CGL 2017 : Tier 1 Exam Pattern
SSC CGL Tier 1 is Common for all
posts. Those candidates qualify SSC CGL 2017 Tier 1 will be eligible for SSC
CGL 2017 Tier 2.

- For all Posts: Candidates appearing for Tier - II have to take Paper - I and Paper - II.
- Candidates those have filled Statistical Investigator Post have to take Paper - I, Paper - II and Paper - III.
- Candidates those have filled Compiler Post have to take Paper - I, Paper - II and Paper -III.
- Candidates those have filled AAO Post have to take Paper - I, Paper - II and Paper - IV.
- Important: Candidates who have filled posts of Statistical Investigator, Compiler and AAO, have to appear in all Paper - I, Paper - II, Paper - III and Paper - IV.
SSC CGL 2017 : Tier 3 Exam Pattern
- SSC CGL 2017 Tier 3 Exam is of Descriptive Nature to test Writing Skills of Candidates qualified in SSC CGL 2017 Tier II. It consists of 100 marks. In this exam Essay/ Application /Letter/ Precis/ Report - Writings are asked.
- All candidates need to appear in Tier 3 Exam after qualifying SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam.
SSC CGL 2017 : Tier 4 Exam Pattern
All candidates who will qualify
SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam and appear in SSC CGL 2017 Tier 3 Exam (except for the
post of AAO and Junior Statistical officer) need to appear in SSC CGL 2017 Tier
4 Exam. This Tier 4 is of qualifying nature, no marks will be added in final
merit list.

How to Apply SSC CGL Application Form Online
- Candidates can apply online for SSC CGL 2017 from 16.05.2017 to 15.06.2017
- Candidates will be required to register themselves online through SSC’s official website ssc.nic.in or ssconline.nic.in
- On this site, Candidates need to click on ‘Click here for New Registration’.
- After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card/credit card/internet banking
- If you have earlier registered for any exam, you have your registration number and password the you don’t need to register again. You can directly fill the form on clicking apply part.
